      COLOSIO AND CIE AUTOMOTIVE’S BROADENING COLLABORATION
      
		                    
      
		                        
      

      

      
The Spanish group CIE Automotive, which designs and manufactures components and sub-assemblies involving forging, aluminium injection moulding, casting, machining, plastic injection moulding and stamping technologies in 80 plants all over the world, is positioned between TIER 1 and TIER 2 and supplies its products both to vehicle manufacturers (OEM) and to TIER 1 suppliers.
      

      
The Colosio Group, which has been manufacturing diecasting machines and accessories since 1971 and focuses its attention on strong, high-tech diecasting machines that are well designed and supported by a particularly fast and effective after-sales service, also includes the company Relbo, a producer of automatic sprayers and automation for diecasting machines.
      

      
The support of the CIE Automotive Group by the Colosio Group in the last 6 years has seen the supply of many diecasting machines to create a new plant in Togliatti, Russia, and to substantially increase the production capacity at the facility in Celaya, Mexico.
      

      
The most recent project has seen the assignment of a Colosio full working cell model PFO 2000 ton, fully-automated and comprehensive dosing furnace, an automatic extraction robot, and trimming press to be installed in CIE Automotive’s newest facility in Taubaté, Brazil. The presence of a Colosio technical assistance center in the country, together with the proven reliability of the machines, has allowed CIE Automotive to enter this major contract knowing they can repeat the success achieved in Russia and Mexico.
